Day 12 - Aeolian Islands (Salina)

World Cup
Can't believe we were in Italy when they won the World Cup. It was absolutely crazy here. Bombs and flares going off, people hanging out of cars tooting horns and waving flags. We watched the game in a piazza in Lingua. Didn't manage to capture many good shots but the one below gives you an idea on what it was like.

Bec Bec! This is fantastic. I can't you're on Salina and zooming around to all those places in your little roller skate car! Michael and I are so excited to think of you there and can imagine exactly where you are and what you're seeing. The accommodation sounds perfect, how fantastic to stay with locals. Have you had a granita on the foreshore at Lingua yet? You MUST have one before you leave. We loved the Fragola. All good here. Cold winter day today but I think we're used to it now. We put out eletric blanket on the bed last night and your brother thinks he's died and gone to heaven. Loves it! Keep having fun and update your blog whenever you have a sec. Don't worry about silly Mike pestering you to do it. The investment banker in Amalfi looked snazzy! Did he buy you dinner? Love Gil xx
